So last night when I got home I decided to look up episodes of The Biggest Loser. I hadn't seen the show before and I must admit I am HOOKED... watched 2 1/2 episodes last night, and up to week 7 today... yikes. I think I have a girl crush on Jillian Michaels.

I really enjoy getting up early and don't know what it is that happened, maybe the holidays, maybe because I haven't been as busy lately.... I need to get out of this rut, it's only been 2 or 3 days but I don't want it to become a habit.

Beachbody: Sent an email to Bill's Dad, plan on meeting up with Stephanie, heard from Jessica.

Ducks: Got my Homestead notarized :)

Accountability, Day 33 ~ Christmas

I am not a big fan of Christmas. I have worked for the most part the last 8 years on Christmas, haven't been home so it just doesn't mean the same as it once did. Yesterday was harder than today. I guess I got it out of my system... but I am glad that it is almost over. No parties, food, no tree, etc today. Even opened my few gifts early. That being said, I did get a lot of stuff done today and had a nice relaxing and yet productive day. Exercise, good nutrition, Kipper went to the park, stretched, cleaned up my room and kitchen, did laundry, so all that felt good. But for the most part, I am glad that this time of year is just about done, it really isn't one of my favorites at all.

Exercise: Did Chest, Shoulders, Tris and Abs today. I was supposed to do it yesterday but since I wasn't feeling 100% I skipped it. Felt good today, really good. Kipper got some time at the park and my upper back has been a bit tight so I went to the gym to soak and stretch, I think it helped. Even practiced my handstand, but think I need to take a couple days off again before I hurt my wrist again.

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, skim milk, banana
Lunch: Chicken w/ leftover lemongrass chicken broth and fresh stir fried peppers, onions, mushrooms and brown rice.
Snack: Pear, 2 Lindor truffels
Dinner: Leftover Salmon, rice and veggies
Snack: 2 fig newtons, 1/2 protein bar
Snack: Wheat thins and fig newtons at home... boo

Today I also got some extra food cooked so I don't have to think about it too much for the next couple of days. Cooked 3 chicken breast, head of cauliflower, rice and some veggies. It is SO much easier to have healthy choices to just grab and go instead of having to always cook. Next is another turkey kick... just trying to eat all the food in my fridge before Feb :)

Wake up: With out having a full plate I have a hard time getting up and getting moving, but was still awake at 8 and out of bed shortly after that.

Beachbody: Took today off, but a friend referred me to his father so we'll see what comes of that :)

Ducks: Cleaned up the house and my room a bit - needed to do that :)

Breakfast: not hungry but ate a banana before working out
Snack: apple, organic yogurt w/ blueberries, organic popcorn

Wake up: I was beat this morning and had no energy, stayed in bed until 9am... not good

Beachbody: Decided to take today and tomorrow off of it, no pressure.

Ducks: Went through some papers and got rid of a bunch of stuff. Josh said he will most likely be in the condo until May!! That rocks!

Thursday, December 24, 2009

Accountability, Day 31 ~ Holidays almost over!!

Exercise: Nice hike with Kipper (2 birds one stone!!) Even practiced my handstands!!!

Snack: Protein bar, apple, hard boiled egg
Lunch: Triscuts with tuna, mayo, mustard, relish and a bit of egg in it (leftover)
Snack: Cherries, blueberries, raspberries
Light Dinner: Salmon, rice veggies, leftover, one vegan cookie 1/2 cup milk
Snack: Shakeology, chocolate pretzel
2nd Dinner: Went out after work w/ company management... had a slice of salmon pizza, bowl of pumpkin soup and burger with side of veggies. It was WAY too much food WAY too late. I didn't feel good at all that night and had a hard time falling asleep... thinking it was a combo of too much food, too late and red meat.

Wake up: I was tired today and took my "can sleep until 8:30 after a 2 show day" rule and put it into affect, up at 8:20

Beachbody: Lots and lots of emails sent out, very excited to see the response!

Ducks: Will file for Homestead, called IRS, canceled Clear and still have an hour left of the day before work!!

DAY 30!!! Goals re-evaluated

I wanted to reflect on my last 30 days and what I have planned for my next 30.

Exercise: I am doing fine on my workouts. I am not beating myself up for having to switch days because I know what I need to do to get everything done. I need to add an extra hour of cardio in each week. I need to really plan how I will do that each week in advance. I should just go hiking with Kipper more often so she gets her exercise. My wrist is much better and I need to start doing more handstands. Flexibility is feeling much better due to yoga, but I am clearly not taking my goal seriously with that, time to re-evaluate if now is the right time for that.

Nutrition:
December 30th starts my 30 day no cookies, candy, cakes. I think that is what I will focus on. Stevia is fine, Agave Nectar fine, Honey fine, and the brown sugar in the Island Pork Tenderloin is also fine. And the Recovery Drink. When cravings kick in I will substitute with Shakeology.
I should be getting my Precision Nutrition soon, can't wait to look through that and decide what is going to be the best option for me and how to incorporate that.
Alcohol intake has been fine, only the one glass of wine on Thanksgiving and no desire for it

Wake up: I am enjoying being out of bed by 8:30 so much I am planning on upping that to 8am (with cheats on 2 show days to 8:30). Original goal was 8:30 everyday with 9am on 2 show days- which I only passed once to 8:40

Beachbody: I feel like I am right on track with this, still need to work my business everyday and continue to grow it. I am having SO much fun with this!

Ducks: I am pretty much down to the busy work, getting taxes prepped, going through papers, selling items, etc.

Looking forward to the next 30 days!

Accountability, Day 29 ~ Amazing day!!

Today was INCREDIBLE!!!

Today is the Winter Solstice -- honor the darkness, look forward to the light and embrace new beginnings. (Borrowed from a friends status on facebook... how true is this).

Exercise: Woke up and was ready to hit the deck. Decided to do my P90X workout at the gym today. It was Back and Bis, got a great workout but it was a little tough since I hadn't done those workouts in so long. Kipper did not get a walk today, no handstands or stretching...

Nutrtition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Snack: Recovery Drink
Lunch: Whole wheat bagel with tuna and egg salad - mostly mustard but a bit of relish and olive oil mayo
handful of cherries
Snack: sips of Shakeology
Dinner: Vegan Taco Salad at Red Velvet Cafe, sooo good
Cheat: 2 vegan cookies. I can't really call this a cheat, each cookie only has 26 calories, all natural, no animal products, the BEST cookies I have ever had :)

Wake up: 7:50... will HAVE to change my goal to 8 am everyday.

Beachbody: Did Shakeology tastings and had SO much fun with that today!! Can't wait to follow up with everyone!

Ducks: Nope, not today... good thing they are mostly lined up... will do more of that this week...

Accountability, Day 28 ~ 3 parties in one day!

Exercise: Woke up earlier today to make sure I had plenty of time for Yoga X and did it first thing. Up at 7:50, ate and then Yoga by 8:30... so good. By waking up earlier I knew if I started Yoga by 8:30 I would be finished by 10 which still leaves me plenty of time to get things done.

Nutrition:
Breakfast: out of bananas!! Cherrios, skim milk
Snack: Apple, swiss cheese
Lunch: Chicken (4 oz) broccoli and carrots
Snack: protein bar, 1 fig newton, 2 small cookies and green tea at Heather's house :)
Dinner: Chicken (4 oz) broccoli and carrots, I love leftovers...
I think there were some cheats involved with today, in fact I KNOW there were..
3 holiday parties in one day! So yes, I lost track of everything that went into my pie hole today :)

Wake up: 7:50. I am thinking of changing my wake up time to 7:45 or 8 instead of 8:30 for my next 30 days... hmmm (7:30 is a bit too early right now, maybe for my last 30)

Beachbody: got all my stuff together for my tasting tomorrow, well, just about all of it, forgot cups today at the store, that would be messy. My friend Gina is going to advertise my tasting in her article tomorrow am :) She rocks!!

Ducks: Nothing today... been focused on BB a lot this week so not much has gotten done, but not much is pressing at this moment.

Sunday, December 20, 2009

Accountability, Day 27 ~ Gearing up for Monday!!!

Exercise: Bev took Kipper to the park today!! I was going to do Yoga, it was on my plan and then got so busy setting up internet for Monday, etc. that I only had time to stretch. I did ChaLeans Recharge, it was nice- and not too long. I felt much better after that.

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, skim milk, banana
Snack: Apple w/almond butter
Lunch: Couscous w/fish and veggies (leftover)
Snack (cheat) two small cookies at the treat table at work, 1/2 of a meal replacement shake- it wasn't Shakeology and it wasn't good, at all...
Dinner: Chicken (4 oz) and broccoli/carrot/beans (restaurant cooks with butter and it was buffet style, boo) and Caesar salad - of course there was already dressing on it as well. One regular sized sugar cookie... I really need to stop

Wake up: 8:10

Beachbody: Chatted with Christine for a while about Beachbody and Shakeology sampling, getting things ready for my tasting. Signed up for Precision Nutrition. Although it isn't Beachbody it will help me learn more about Nutrition and how to help others :)  Set up wireless internet with Clear.

Ducks: Nothing to do today :)

Saturday, December 19, 2009

Accountability, Day 26 ~ no comment

Accountability, Day 25 ~ Today ROCKED!!

Wow, it feels like today has been forever... in a GREAT WAY...
Last night I went to bed, read my goals before going to sleep, woke up and reread my goals - man, that gets me GOING!! I jumped out of bed, ate breakfast, worked out, considered skipping Zumba but ran around getting gear together to shower after my workout, made it to class, met with someone at LVAC, met with a Mary Kay Rep, went back to LVAC, met some great people, chatted on the phone with someone I gave a sample of Shakeology to who couldn't WAIT to get his in the mail that I had to get him through the weekend (I feel like a dealer!), talked to someone else who is ready to make some serious changes in their health and pocketbook, sold things I make at work and am STILL going!! I am on a ROLL!!!

Exercise: Great Core Synergistics work out followed by Zumba. I don't think Kipper went to the park today, maybe early tomorrow, might take tomorrow as a rest day. No handstands yet...

Nutrition:
I think I did ok for it being such a busy day, not great...
Breakfast: Cherrios, Milk, Banana
Snack: Apple, Recovery Shake, Protein Bar
Lunch: Leftover Cous cous with tuna and veggies

Met with a lady who does Mary Kay for the past 12 years to learn about network groups here in town and tips on marketing. Met with Willy at LVAC to learn about setting up space at LVAC, talked to Marcus and Wendell of gymrules, talked to Leslie, Monica and Dani, and many others about options.

Ducks: Chris took care of some ducks in New Zealand. Sold some items at work today.

Accountability, Day 24 ~ I've been working ALL day!!!

Exercise: I just finished one of the BEST Yoga X sessions. I think it was because I had been sitting at the computer all day so by the time I started I was really ready to clear my mind, stretch, bend, breath and focus. It was awesome. And it seemed to go by pretty fast. I wish they all felt like that, but I still struggle with Yoga- mostly the clearing of the mind, I think too much about the things I need to do and focus too much on the fact that it is 90 minutes.... Looking forward to my next Yoga day, amazing...
Kipper had a nice time at the dog park- Bev is great to take her down there. AND- good news, my wrist was still feeling sore when I started but about half way through something clicked and there is NO pain- NONE... I am so happy!!! No handstands tonight, but I'll celebrate tomorrow by starting again, only this time I wont practice every day!

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk, green tea w/stevia
Lunch: Chipolte Chicken bowl, rice, sprinkle of cheese, corn and tomato salsa, lettuce, black beans
Snack: Apple, agave nectar, cinnamon
Snack: Shakeology (greenberry w/ OJ) protein bar (Promax cookies and cream- yum)
Dinner: Couscous w/ ahi tuna, garbanzo beans, red and yellow peppers, zucchini and carrots.
Snack: had the other half of my pumpkin pie -107.5 calories!

Wake up: 8:30

Beachbody: I have been working all day long on sending out emails!! Here's hoping something comes out of it! Sent tons of emails out.

Ducks: Returned some items, bought some shoes for Hawaii. This day has gone by WAY too fast. It was such a pretty day but I really wanted to get some work done for Beachbody.

Accountability, Day 23 ~ Looking forward to Thursday!!

Exercise: Rode my bike to REI today - took the long way there, about 30 minutes there and 20 minutes home - nice ride, needed new sunglasses. I love killing two birds with one stone by getting my errands done on my bike! Kipper got a nice walk from Bev. Wrist is feeling better, but going to take it easy on the handstands.

Nutrition
Woke up SO hungry!!
Breakfast: 2 egg whites, 3 turkey sausage links, one packet of cranberry and almond oatmeal, cup of green mint tea w/ stevia - yummm
Snack: Banana after my ride
Lunch: Out to Red Velvet Cafe. Tried the vegetarian "chicken" tandoori wrap w/ green salad, balsamic dressing instead of chips. 1/2 of their pumpkin pie - 215 calories and 5g of fat for the whole thing. It was SO good- not bad for a 107.5 calorie dessert!
Snack: orange and 1/2 shakeology w/ light vanilla soy milk. 1/2 of a bite sized brownie - seriously - I cut the smallest one I could find into 1/2. It was only ok
Dinner: Chicken Fajitas from Fresh and Easy (no tortilla)
Snack: Vanilla yogurt (fat free) with blue berries, small croissant.

Woke up: Uh-oh. I am finding that not having enough stuff to do makes me want to stay in bed longer. This is not good! I hit snooze and didn't get out of bed until about 8:40. Gotta get back in my groove!

Beachbody: My contacts I made yesterday followed through! Meeting with a guy from LVAC on Thursday about getting a Shakeology table set up and meeting with a woman from Mary Kay about a Women and Networking group here in Las Vegas. Got a really nice email from one of my customers about his why. Connected with a guy from work about Shakeology. Listened to Think and Grow Rich on the way home.

Ducks: Nothing really to do today. Might have a friend move into the second bedroom for a couple months. :) Sold a wine rack :)

Monday, December 14, 2009

Accountability, Day 22 ~ Good day today!

Exercise: Core Synergistics!!! Yeah!! And Zumba - so good! I'm gonna miss that class so much. Took Kipper to the dog park. No extra stretch today.

Nutrition:
So much better today

Snack: Recovery drink
Snack: Fat Free Vanilla Bean and Honey Greek Yogurt, with a smidge of real honey in there too - so good!
Lunch: Tilapia, 1/3 cup Seeds of Change wild rice mix, green salad w/ ginger vinagarette, red and yellow peppers, tomatos and carrots, 1 fig newton

Beachbody: Good day, got a call from LVAC about advertising Shakeology - looking forward to working out a deal with him in the near future. Contacted a few other new people through facebook as well. Need to get my file box working to keep track of follow ups :) Made a few more contacts, looking forward to getting to know new people!

Ducks: Picked up my closing papers from the real estate office and there was a refund check for $200! Yippee!

Accountability, Day 21 ~ Gotta get back on track!

Exercise: I wish my wrist wasn't giving me problems, it is messing with my downward dog too much to do yoga... grrrr... started, was ready and it was just too much on my wrist - I noticed I was modifying by using my right arm WAY too much. Getting off track with that doesn't help my mental attitude :(  I think some of it is that this is my first "down" time in WEEKS, I have been go go go and now I have more than 4 hours to deal with random things and not pressed for time to get things done. I need to stop making excuses and just DO IT!!! Looking forward to Monday, start of my recovery week, I always enjoyed Core Synergistics and looking forward to getting back on that work out, and of course ZUMBA!!!

Nutrition: I am ready to do my 30 day no treats (cookies, cakes, etc) and am going to start that on Dec 30th.  (figured I might have some left over birthday cake on the 29th)
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Lunch: Island Pork Tenderloin Salad and 1/4 cup of mixed whole grains
Snack: Pear, roasted/salted almonds and snp pistachios. (small gingerbread man - they are so good...)
Dinner: Chicken and rice casserole and 1/2 Shakeology w/ vanilla soy milk
Party: Passed food: 1 fried cheese ravioli w/ marinara sauce - not good, mini roast beef sandwich, mini shrimp ceviche, brownieS (3 small ones), 1 chocolate covered strawberry, 1 regular strawberry, cookie, roast beef slice and tastes of mashed potatoes from the mashed potato bar

Wake up: Didn't hear my alarm go off, woke up at 8:30 but not out of bed until 8:45... not sure what happened, weird.

Beachbody: Called LVAC today to see about getting a table there to do tastings of Shakeology (I am so missing my chocolate shake!!). Followed up with Katrina V. again.

Ducks: Nothing much to do today for that... Dropped off my camera to get the zoom fixed, using my warranty :)

We had our company party at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum - I had a ton of fun with Shawnti there, dancing, funny pictures, it was a good time.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Ducks: Sold a dryer for cheap :) Everyone is happy. Sold a lot more of my decorated items - Boxes are leaving my garage :) Feels SO good.

Accountability, Day 19 ~ Feeling good

Exercise: What a great day! I had to make up for Wednesday and Thursday. Friday is supposed to be my day of rest/stretch but I owed myself 2 hours (minimum) of working out. Today was Shoulders/Arms, followed by Intervals +, and then Extreme Abs from ChaLEAN Johnson. Yep, THREE different Beachbody workouts today, and they all felt great. All a bit different, all challenging. Fantastic.
Still no handstands, should stretch tonight before bed and Kipper still needs some attention.

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Snack: Recovery Drink, Apple, Protein Bar
Lunch: Leftover salmon and spanish rice
Snack: Greenberry Shakeology (mixed with water)
Dinner: Ahi Tuna Burger on a sesame seed bun (asked for wheat but you don't always get what you ask for), mashed sweet potatoes instead of fries
Snack: Handful of salted popcorn and 2 fat free fig newtons

Wake up: 7:50am :)

Beachbody: Sent out a few emails to customers

Ducks: Not much time for ducks today. Been at work and working out most of the day. Now that some stuff is taken care of I don't have much more to deal with right now :)

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Accountability, Day 18 ~ Light at the end of the tunnel

Exercise: Well this was weird. With my busy schedule today I had to skip my Zumba class. I don't like skipping class :(  I planned on waking up and still doing Shoulders, Arms and Abs and just wasn't feeling it. I always say if you aren't feeling your workout but not sure if it is just your mind playing tricks on you to go ahead and START, if after 10 minutes you still aren't feeling it don't feel so bad about stopping. Well, that was me today. I didn't want to do a half assed workout, my mind wasn't there, my body was barely there - I listened. Kipper is going to the park on Saturday!!!

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, Banana, Skim milk
Snack: Apple
Lunch: Salmon w/ spanish rice (leftovers)
2nd Lunch: Tuna w/ mustard, relish and tomatoes on a whole wheat tortilla
Light dinner: Turkey burger, almond cheese, 1/2 whole wheat tortilla
Cheat: small gingerbread men - too many :(

Wake up: Went to bed around 11pm, up at 8:20 (maybe that was a bit too much sleep for my workout)

Beachbody: Sent out two videos today :) and followed up with one other person. I can do this!

Ducks: The heat is fixed at the condo and I found one roommate - she is moving in tomorrow. Those are two big things that I don't have to think about :) Got rid of a bunch more stuff, both selling and throwing away. Getting there. I think I picked my final day of work. Feb 21st will be the end of this 90 day journey, and that just kind of makes sense. Nothing is set in stone, but I think that will be my last day. Then I can start a new blog on Feb 22nd

Accountability, Day 17 ~ Today was a day "off"???

Exercise: I needed to flip my day off from Friday to today. WAY too busy. Friday will be make up day. Exercise makes me happy. It would make my poor beagle happy too... No handstands, no stretching

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Out to breakfast today, pumpkin pancakes, two scrambled eggs and a bowl of fruit. There was whipped cream on the pancakes- didn't eat all of it
Snack: Raspberries
Lunch: Chicken, rice caserole
Snack: Shakeology w/ orange juice
Snack: Green tea w/ stevia and three non fat fig newtons
Dinner: Salmon, veggies
Snack: snuck in some rice cakes and salted organic popcorn to the movies

Wake up: 8am

Beachbody: Listened to some audio while driving. My brain is a bit full today.

Ducks: What a day. Went to the condo, met the handy man - yeah for handymen!! Took care of the little things I couldn't be bothered to do. Found a lock for my mailbox, switched that out (took a couple trips to get the right one), got clickers for the gate and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow for the heater. I think after the heater is done I am done at that property for a while (fingers crossed!). Found out one roommate is not moving in... sigh, hopefully the other one does.

Other: Just one of those days. Got rear ended today by my friend who was coming over to look at the place - on the phone WAY too much - add that to my list of things to do. Really need some down time. Off to the movies tonight, that should help. Maybe by Saturday I can fell a bit more relaxed.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Accountability, Day 16 ~ I bypassed the cookies!!!!

Exercise: Woke up and did Plyometrics this morning before breakfast - good and bad - I am so hungry when I get up but know that I can't eat too soon to doing Plyo, with my busy day my only choice was to work out on a completely empty stomach. It was ok- I was starving by the end - maybe 1/2 a banana or having had the recovery drink made up to sip on...  No handstands, no stretch.

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Something different today: 1 egg and 1 egg white scrambled, w/ a soy sausage patty, wheat english muffin, slice of tomato and an orange
Snack: Apple, Shakeology w/ light vanilla soy milk. (Finished my chocolate bag - gonna miss that)
Lunch: Turkey burger with Almond "cheese", 1/2 whole wheat tortilla, tomato slices, ketchup, container of raspberries.
Light Dinner: Made some comfort food this morning after my workout - 3 cups brown rice mixed with low fat cream of celery, chicken and mushroom soups, 2 chicken breast and baked for about an hour. Used to make that with white rice and full fat soups - it isn't a perfect meal, but a better choice, and YUMMY! I wanted some "comfort food".
Second Dinner: Salmon, veggies and a small side of Caesar salad.
Other: Good news/not so good news. So I really think that the combination of Shakeology and Acupuncture that my sweet tooth is lessening. I had acupuncture today and walked into wardrobe and there were coconut flavored mnms - which are really tasty. I grabbed a small handful of them (about 8) and realized that after about 5 I really didn't need them or want them - sure they tasted good, (and yes I finished them) but then later at our buffet dinner I bypassed the cookies. Are you kidding me??? Cookies are my FAVORITE, but there are none in my belly!! I KNOW I don't feel like cheating when I eat right. When I eat right my body doesn't crave anything. The better I eat the less I want to cheat. My acupuncturist explained that sweet/sugar cravings are a sign of something wrong with your digestive system - so he has been treating me for that as well as my wrist. I really think that it is working. I only makes sense- why would I want something BAD in my belly if I only eat what I should be eating. Amazing.

Wake up: Went to bed at 11 last night, woke up around 6:30am, back to sleep until 7:40 - awesome. Good sleep, woke up and had a FULL day to get things done. I wish I started waking up earlier a LONG time ago!

Beachbody: Will send a couple emails before the day is over. Listened to past conference calls on my ipod while driving - probably listened to a good hour plus calls :)

Ducks: Hired a handyman for tomorrow to take care of some pidly fix it things, moved the washer, fridge and bought the dryer. Got closet doors fixed (thanks B.J.!!) and submitted request to get the heat fixed ASAP. Stupid heat. Had acupuncture for my wrist and managed to squeeze in a bit of grocery shopping.

Accountability, Day 15 ~ Siiiiggghhh... (of relief)

Exercise: With my wrist still hurting I decided to switch Chest/Back to Legs/Back today to give it another few days of rest. Fingers crossed acupuncture works for my next two sessions. Did Ab Ripper X and then went to Zumba. It was a good exercise day! No walk for Kipper - it is COLD. Stretch - nope :(

Nutrition:
Breakfast - Aggg, out of bananas!! So it was just cherrios and milk
Snack: Recovery Drink
Lunch: Greek Salad, slice of banana bread and sourdough bread
Snack: Handful of almonds
Dinner: 1/2 turkey sandwich on sourdough- lettuce, tomato, mayo. Cup of winter vegetable soup (so good!) and a house salad w/ vinaigrette.
Snack: Hard boiled egg w/ honey mustard, relish, on a toasted whole wheat english muffin (tasty!!)
*** Side story: So I pulled out some frozen turkey burgers yesterday to thaw out, planning on bringing them to work to have for lunch today. Well I got them to work, ready to heat up but realized that I hadn't cooked the burgers before freezing them... just had some raw turkey meat... not so smart today...

Wake up: I feel like I have been up forever!! I am ready for a sleep in on Wednesday... Got up around 7:40, working out by 8:15am

Beachbody: Sent a couple emails - but nothing major (at work all day). Did drop off two DVDs to an interested coworker.

Ducks: Found a dryer (I think), met with a potential roommate for the end of the month. Also got an email from my lawyer answering a bunch of questions and it looks like everything is coming together swimmingly!!! Yippee... Now I just need to get the heat fixed at my new place... oh the joys...

Accountability, Day 14 ~ I just want to go to the movies!!!

Yesterday was a LONG day! Up early, long meeting (but so worth it) and then two shows. Stayed up a bit after I got home to talk to my man via Skype (Skype rocks!!)

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!

Exercise: Today was my Yoga X day. I am proud to say I started right when I said I would start by, 9am. I didn't get to do push ups going into downward dog, that wrist of mine still hurts :(  It was nice to do Yoga again (I skipped it last week) I had to skip crane and wheel - the wrist was NOT having it! Kipper had a good 30 minutes at the dog park. And officially I didn't skip my stretching since Sunday is just yoga! Gold Star for exercise!

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, milk (If you only knew how many cherrios I have in my pantry... I need to finish them before March so that is why the lack of variety. I actually don't need too much variety in my diet on a weekly basis, I can eat leftovers for a week but then the next week I'll be on a different kick)
Snack: Yogurt, 1/2 whole wheat toasted bagel with almond butter and strawberry preserves
Lunch: Leftover chicken curry over brown rice (that was the last of it)
Ealry light dinner: Tilapia, grilled zuccini (yum), and a small side of mixed whole grains (I'll have to look up the brand I like, it is SO good!!)
Snack: Protein bar and Chocolate Shakeology with vanilla soy milk - amazing! Who knew something that tasted so good can be so good for you! It's like a chocolate milkshake.
Small cheat: Small slice of homemade banana bread... and I was doing SO good until I got to work!

Wake up: I got to "sleep in" today until about 8:20/8:30. Which is later than I normally have been setting my alarm but earlier than my goal after a two show night!

Beachbody: Made some new contacts today and will start my detailed accountability log for BB and my goals.

Ducks: I need to get some paperwork to my lawyer but still have a lot of questions so didn't make it as far as I would have liked with that. Hope to hear from him tomorrow to get some questions answered so I can submit my paperwork this week. Still looking for roommates, but might have two figured out, one for this weekend and one at the end of December.

Other: I need some FUN!! Chris left 2 weeks ago and I haven't really done anything fun and relaxing. Every day has been a focus of moving, cleaning, driving, signing, calling, going, working, organizing, etc. and I need some time away from my house, my computer, etc...

Accountability, Day 13 ~ Awesome Game Plan Event!!

What a great, motivating day!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!

Exercise: A short one but a great one, Abs/Core +, dead on the floor after 20 minutes! SO good!! Then Kipper got a 20 minute walk while I was on the phone setting up home owners insurance on the new place - it's all about the multi-tasking. No stretch or handstands... not doing so good on that goal am I?

Nutrition:
Breakfast: take a wild guess, C/B/M - Cherrios, banana, milk
Snack: Bluberry muffin, yogurt, Shakeology sample at the Game Plan Event
Lunch: Turkey burger, wheat bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, side of fruit from TGIFridays
Snack: Apple, Wheat Thins, Shakeology w/ Soy milk
Dinner: Pan roasted chicken breast, broccoli and carrots (probably soaked in butter), side of fruit
Cheat: Small (really small) slice of carrot cake. I should have skipped it, it wasn't worth the cheat.

Wake up: 7am, but then fell back asleep until about 7:40, woke up again before my alarm and decided to just get up and get some things done before the Beachbody Game Plan event at 10am.

Beachbody: I am SO excited after going to this event. It was exactly what I needed to get my ass in gear and get this business where I need it to be. Tomorrow I will be making my list of things I need to do to give my self my SPECIFIC goals for this business and ways to TRACK them. Met a new friend who will also be at Tony's Fitness Camp, very excited to see her there too! New goals to read, listen, share, track, learn, etc....

Ducks: I am a bad landlord. I didn't realize that I DO have gas at my house. I thought it was all electric, my water heater is electric, my stove and dryer are electric... but my heat is gas... woops, and it will take about 5 days before they can get over there. Good thing there is a wood burning fire place there :) Canceled the extra cable channels I had to save some money, of course internet went up with that :( and updated insurance (while walking the dog as mentioned above). Lots of paper work to fill out and prepare over the next few days. Hope to drop papers off to Zach this week.

Other: Time to write down my goals for the week and my daily plans to help keep me on track. I also need a bit of a break, kind of broke down yesterday at the end of the day. I don't know what it was exactly. Combination of having my energy adjusted at Acupuncture, getting the keys and knowing one major step is marked off the list - but that means now I need to focus on the other many things I need to do to make it all work. I miss Chris a lot. More than the other times. I wish he was here to help me with the things that need to be done. I want to know that all this planning will work the way we have it planned out...

Accountability, Day 12... Got the keys!!!

Exercise: A really nice day of exercise. Today is supposed to be my rest day but since I cheated on Wednesday I had to make it up today. So it was Shoulders/Arms - no abs since I did ARX yesterday. I also threw in a DVD from ChaLEAN extreme to make up for the lost cardio on Wednesday- it is only 30 minutes but it was intense and I don't feel bad about a shorter workout!  I felt really good afterwards.
Kipper is getting left in the dust :( I owe her BIG time, maybe a nice big hike for us this next week. Still no handstands - but hopefully soon. I also flipped through ChaLeans stretch DVD, just 20 minutes, I think I'll add that in to my stretch plan, 20 minutes is WAY easier to handle than 40-60 which I was planning on.

Nutrition:
So far so good!
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk... how did you know??
Snack: Blueberry muffin, apple and recovery drink (I knew I wasn't going to get lunch until after 12:30 so needed a bigger snack
Lunch: 6" Subway Turkey on 9 grain honey oat, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green peppers, banana peppers and honey mustard - SO good. No cheese or mayo :)
Light Dinner: Leftover Chicken Curry :)
Snacks: yogurt with blueberries, wheat thins, boiled egg. (Maybe a few too many wheat thins)

Wake up: A bit harder to get up this morning. It is cold in the am and I haven't turned on the heat yet so a warm bed feel so good, still out of bed just after 8 today

Beachbody: Not today :( Looking forward to tomorrow!  Actually I did pass out my card to my new neighbor today, so all is not lost!

Ducks: closed on the condo!!! Yeah! Had the carpet cleaners come over, he did an AMAZING job, need a carpet cleaner in Vegas? Call Barry at ChemDry:  702 461-7999. I couldn't believe the difference. Went by the old rental and picked up my keys, checked the place out. Need to get the fridge and washer out of there and into the new place. Maybe Sunday... can't wait for this to be over... I really need some down time/fun in my life right about now... like a whole day of something really good!!

Other: Tried Acupuncture today for my wrist. I don't know yet what I think of it 100%. I really like the guy and felt comfortable. He asked A LOT of questions and he treated me for some other issues that are kind of ongoing but not affecting my daily life. (Stomach/digestive issues, nothing major). I found this really interesting, he asked if I crave anything and I mention that I crave sweets: cookies, cakes, chocolate, some candy, sweet rice cakes, etc. He said that is a sign that something in my digestive/spleen/stomach isn't 100% correct and began treating me for that as well. I would LOVE to have my sweet tooth cured :) How cool would that be! I do know that when I eat well I am less likely to crave sweets and can pass them up easier. It makes sense that my body is craving *something* and I interpret it as craving sweets... Next 2 appointments are Tuesday and Thursday. I was a bit nervous going in as I tend to pass out when getting shots (it has even happened while sitting down!) but this was ok and I didn't feel weird afterwards (Chris says he feels almost drunk after getting acupuncture).

Accountability, Day 11... one big duck is making its way to the front of the line!

It is still not official-official... but it looks like I should have the keys to my new place tomorrow!! Fingers are still crossed!

Exercise: Really good day today, woke up, ate and did Legs and Back and ARX and then went to Zumba for an hour.  Legs and Back is one of my favorite days. One reason is because in my first round I really trimmed up my legs and LOVED that, never before had I lost weight in my legs, so I always look forward to L/B/ARX to get stronger, more toned etc. It was also the first routine that I did at the gym when I finally got over my fear of working out by myself at the gym. By the end of my last round I was doing L/B at the gym before Zumba - doing pull ups unassisted with the guys was awesome. I haven't done that yet this round, I need to regain some of my strength, plus a nice reminder of the exercises, form, etc. from time to time is good. Wrist hurts still, no handstands and I have been slacking on the stretches. (insert lame excuse why here_____) And poor Kipper has not been getting the attention she deserves the last couple days. I owe her a good 90 minutes at the dog park, maybe sunday :)

Nutrition: I just realized I didn't really eat dinner... woops... I ate lunch around noon then a few snacks before work, but wasn't really hungry for dinner. My plan was to eat after work, a light salad, but instead I cheated at the tree trimming party...
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Snack: Recovery drink
Lunch: Leftover chicken curry with tons of veggies over brown rice
Snacks thorughout late afternoon: Apple, rice cakes (a little overboard on those again today), yogurt, pistachios
Cheat: slice of pumpkin loaf, chocolate chip cookie, 1/4 cup homemade mac and cheese and apple cider

Wake up: In order to get my workouts in on Zumba days I have to up by 8am :) so that is what I did

Beachbody: Talked to a prospective coach today, hopefully he will come to the Game Plan Event Training!

Ducks: Filled out paperwork, set up utilities, changed address, scheduled carpet cleaners etc. for the new place.

Other: It was nice to hang out with my couchsurfer friend Jeff at the tree trimming party :) Yeah for couchsurfing.com!

Accountability, Day 10... almost under the limbo stick

Not really sure where to begin...
Last night was an interesting night. Ran into an ex boyfriend of mine, someone I really loved, we did not end on good terms and that always disappointed me. I was out celebrating a friends birthday and he was there with his new girlfriend, (she is my friends best friend). I found out from the birthday girl that the ex is moving away from Vegas with the new GF. It made me realize that if I didn't tell him I was sorry that things didn't work out differently and that I truly wish him the best I might ever have that chance face to face. So I told him, and it was fine, and I feel so much better. I also talked to the new GF and she is super cool, we have a friend in common and had some fun stories to share. I am happy for both of them.

It made me realize that my time is coming to an end here in Vegas soon, that if there are any loose ends to tie up, now is the time to do so.

About three years ago I had a falling out with one of my best friends. She was also at the birthday girl's celebration last night. We haven't spoken in three years with the exception of maybe two instances where we were mostly talking about theatre and a specific show - more business small talk than "hey, how are ya..." I think after clearing my heart and mind of the ex I wanted to do the same with the old friend. On my way home I sent her a text, simply stating I was sorry that things ended the way they did and wished her well. She replied back saying she was sorry too, that she misses me some days, hears I am moving and wished me good luck and told me to dream big. I wrote back that I am probably leaving in february or march and that if she wanted to chat sometime to let me know. Currently that is where it stands. But even that made it a little bit more ok.

I didn't get home until about 2:30 am and that didn't help with my daily goals... so here it goes.

Exercise: Excuses, excuses. Yep, I am totally making excuses. Today I did not exercise because I stayed out too late, slept too late, woke up and emailed a friend a loooong email, I was expecting people over at 10, 11, 12 and 2:30 today to buy items, look at the room, and had a friend come through this afternoon. I figured I would go take a Zumba class at 4:30 but at noon got a call that my house is just about ready to close and I needed to transfer my funds and meet my realtor at 5pm to sign the papers. So no class for me. I made excuses all day. I don't feel too bad for it.  Normally exercise helps to relieve stress, but I don't feel stressed, I  have so about to happen that I  feel in limbo, I don't want to start anything that can't get interrupted, I don't want to miss an important phone call. So I made excuses today.  It happens. And tomorrow I know that nothing will move forward, no one is coming to visit, drop by, etc. My morning workouts WILL happen and knowing there is an end in sight with the house it will be that much easier to push even harder :)  My wrist is still hurting so no handstands yet. Maybe I'll treat myself to a nice stretch in the sauna tomorrow night. I also plan on making up todays exercise on Friday (my normal rest day)

Nutrition, not bad today. It's so much easier not to cheat when you don't have it in the house! Work is a bad influence!!
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Snack:  banana (they were about to go bad), hard boiled egg
Lunch: Turkey Meatloaf, green peas, quinoa
Snack: Shakeology (greenberry with oj - yummm!!),
Dinner: My first homemade curry! Chicken w/ peppers, onions, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, corn, garlic over brown rice.
Snack: Yogurt, rice cakes (I'm still a bit hungry, must be time for bed!)

Wake up: After being out so late I didn't feel bad about sleeping until 8:40. Originally I said mornings after two show nights I wouldn't be as worried about being up by 8:30. I think 8:40 is still pretty good for being out till two.

Beachbody: Emailed my new customers. Received my shaker cups in the mail!

Ducks: Still no roommates, didn't sell any garage sale stuff today, but did find out that I should close on the condo by Friday (well, 85% sure it will be by Friday!) After that is done I'll have a much better idea of a time line for my departure. I worked on my room a bit more, putting things away, moving items to the garage to be sold. I really like my new room. I don't know what it is, maybe it is because I only have the things that mean the most to me in my space, I don't have a lot of things just for the sake of having things and that feels really good. My master bedroom is set up with my bedroom area (bed, nightstand, etc), in another corner is my "office" with all my Beachbody items, all my files, office supplies, etc, and in another corner of the room there is my "gym" with my weights, resistance bands, pull up bar.  I am really looking forward to living a lighter life. Because what really matters sure isn't the things that I own.

All right, got to sign off... It is close to midnight and definitely time for me to get tomorrow started right!

Accountability, Day 8 and 9... aggg I got behind!!

Ok, lets see what I can remember!

Day 9 - Tuesday 12-1

Exercise: Plyometrics!! No walk for Kipper, but someone asked if she has lost weight! No handstand - scheduled an acupuncture appointment to help get my wrist back in action!

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, Banana, Skim Milk
Snack: Blueberry muffin
Lunch: Vegetarian Tostada
Snack: Protein Bar, Recovery Drink
Dinner: Turkey Meatloaf, green peas, quinoa (with curry powder and raisins), kiwi fruit.
Snack: Greek Salad, cheated with a mini croissant and mini pastry after dinner :(

Wake up: 8am :)

Beachbody: Nothing today, but got my 3rd party tools and ChaLean extreme in the mail

Ducks: Moved from my 2nd bedroom to my master and set it up as my bedroom, workout room and office. It feels really good in there. The roommates I *thought* were moving in completely fell off the face of the earth, so back to square one looking for new roommates. Still looking for a new home for my dog :) Sold some more items off my virtual garage sale. I have some leads for new roommates so fingers crossed. No word on the new house.

Day 8 Monday, 11/30

Exercise: Chest/Back/ARX, ZUMBA!! It was a great day for all of that, but didn't do my push ups full out with my wrist hurting. Kipper spent about 30 minutes at the park. No stretching today after work and no handstands

Nutrition:
Breakfast: Cherrios, skim milk, banana
Snack: Recovery drink and protein bar
Snack: Blueberry muffin (I made the ones from the Thin Kitchen cookbook and really like them! Will make again - maybe next month, the recipe made 20!)
Lunch: Vegetarian Tostada
Snack: Chocolate Shakeology w/ skim milk and ice - yummm!!!
Small Dinner: small pork chop w/ baked beans, green peas
Snack: Kiwi fruit, rice cakes (I went way overboard on these... boo). I think I had something else but can't remember

Wake up: I know I was up before 8:30, but can't remember exactly what time - I think about 8am

Beachbody: Nothing much today

Ducks: Sorted through some papers but felt a bit in limbo not knowing what the roommate and condo situation is going to be.

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Accountability, Day 7, not a great day

I'm a bit embarrassed to write about today. One of the nice things about signing up to be a coach for Beachbody is that I hold myself more accountable on a regular basis, but then on days like today I feel like I should turn in my coaching card. OK, it wasn't THAT bad, it wasn't like I sat on the couch eating a bowl of ice cream and cookies... but I slacked off on my goals big time and really only focussed on one today. Oh well, tomorrow will be a better day.

Exercise: Today was supposed to be my yoga day. Yoga is a tricky workout for me. I have a hard time focussing and being in the "now", forgetting what I need to do after my workout etc., etc. So my idea was that I should get some things done before I start Yoga so I wont be thinking about it, kind of like Yoga would be my break, or my treat after working in the house... Yeah, that didn't happen. I am a bit disappointed in myself that I am only on Day 7 and have already skipped a workout. That being said, I am also already trying to figure out how to get back on track! Kipper also didn't get any exercise. I didn't stretch and my wrists are still feeling sore so no handstands. I am READY for Monday!!! Bring IT

Nutrition:
Not perfect....
Breakfast: 2 Protein Blueberry Pancakes, sugar free syrup, OJ
Lunch: Pork chop, baked beans, green peas
Snack: Baked apple with agave nectar and cinnamon, fat free yogurt
Snack: String cheese, cup of Butternut squash soup, handful of wheat thins
Cheat: slice of pumpkin pie, cup of skim milk
Snack: Out to reverse happy hour with a friend: 1 1/2 Meatballs w/ polenta, 1/2 small Margarita flatbread pizza, 2 slices of steak and pepper bruschetta, bite of beef carpaccio
No Shakeology and cheated on the sweets

Wake up: I was out of bed by 8:30, even after my long week! I haven't felt overly tired, just a bit around midnight if I work late

Beachbody: I received my first customer from Beachbody today! Very excited about that!

Ducks: This is where most of my focus went to today. I sorted through pictures, sold my desk, posted items on craigslist, emptied drawers, got the guest room almost ready for someone to move in. I am a bit nervous that I haven't heard from my new roommates and hope that they are still moving in on Tuesday. I guess I'll start my search on Wednesday again if I don't hear from them. Fingers cross I hear something about the house on Monday - like I said, BRING IT!!

Other: Had a really nice chat with my friend Steven about money and relationships. It's always good to catch up.

Accountability, Day 6

Exercise: Shoulders and Arms this morning - great work out. Didn't do Ab Ripper X, my goal is to replace ARX with Core Plus one day a week, I just finished and LOVED it, that was a good call. ARX is a great workout but it is nice to switch it up for round 2 a bit, maybe I'll phase out ARX each month so 2 Core Plus next month and 3 the last month, we'll see. No handstands today, my wrist is a little tender and I need to listen to my body and take a break, I will need it for crane pose tomorrow! Kipper had a nice 20 minutes at the dog park today. Can't wait for my day off of work tomorrow!!!

Nutrition:
Breakfast: 2 blueberry protein pancakes - they were from a mix - sugar free syrup, cup of skim milk
Snack: Recovery drink
Light Lunch: Island Pork Tenderloin Salad (still eating leftovers from when I cooked early this week!), kiwi, apple w/ almond butter.
2nd light lunch: Baked pork chops with fat free baked beans, ketchup and mustard - something my mom used to make, it was on sale and SO good!! (I was hungry!!)
Snack: Protein Bar
Dinner: Greek Salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, greens) with Chicken, yummy!!
Snack: Handful of cherrios when I got home

Wake up: Went to bed around 12:30 and woke up at 7:30 naturally. Since I have to work two shows tonight I stayed in bed and dozed until about 8. Next time I wake up naturally at 7:30 I am getting out of bed!!

Beachbody: Got some emails sent out, finally! I am really excited about next Saturday, there is a meeting here in Vegas to help us build our business, really looking forward to learning what I can do to keep building!

Ducks: Got the kitchen cleaned, well cleaner than it was, not exactly clean! Will work on getting things organized in the office, getting ready for the move!

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Accountability, Day 5, Rest Day!

Exercise: Today is my day of rest, which means stretch! Kipper got an hour and 10 minutes at the dog park, I think she'll be holding down the couch the rest of the day. I am sad to report that stretching did not happen. I was planning on doing it on my dinner break at work but that just didn't happen. I did practice my handstands though!

Nutrition: Still some cheats with my leftovers, but not as bad :)
Breakfast: Cherrios, skim milk, banana (notice a trend?)
Lunch: Leftover turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry sauce and green peas. SO GOOD!!
Snack: Fat free yogurt, left over dinner roll
Dinner: Chocolate Shakeology with Almond Milk, small slice of leftover ham, 1/2 cup of mashed sweet potatoes. Tim Tam (I didn't pass up the choclaty goodness of the Australian cookie!)
Snack: handful of  reduced fat Wheat thins

Wake up: I woke up naturally at 7:30 but knew I didn't have to be out of bed until 8:30, so fell back asleep until about 8:20. Still loving getting up "early"

Beachbody: Got a nice card from my coach today reminding me of the Game Plan. Looking forward to getting my new coaching materials in and putting that into action! I really need to get my email sent out!

Ducks: Just trying to get the house a bit tidier. Getting ready to move across the hall back into the master bedroom. Might have some options for the pooch! Fingers crossed!

Other: Went out after work last night and saw some friend perform. Check out www.applesisters.com, crazy funny girls!!!

Accountability, Day 4 Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My friend Melissa posted on her status for the last two weeks what she was thankful for each day and it was such a pleasure to read.

Here are some of the things I am thankful for this year:
~ My wonderful man, who I miss lots and lots. I'm like a hurricane and he helps keep me grounded. We are a good balance, he makes me smile, cares about me and I CAN'T WAIT to see him again soon! He rocks!!!
~ Angela, Beth and Melanie for spending Thanksgiving with me today. Thanks for cooking and the wonderful food!! It was nice to have some turkey and enjoy the day with some new friends :)
~ My body for letting me push it the way I do. I am so thankful to be able to ride my bike, play with my dog, learn new skills, and not be prone to illness.
~ My parents, I know they aren't thrilled with all the choices I make and I appreciate that they don't try to convince me to do otherwise. When I left St. Louis years ago to travel around the U.S. they didn't try to stop me, even I would have tried to stop me if I was in their shoes!
~ And of course my friends, real and "virtual", near and far.
~ The gorgeous weather today, but I sure am ready for the sun not to go down so early!!

And now, for the updates. Don't expect any gold stars today, it's Thanksgiving and I fully intended to "cheat" today.

Exercise: (Kipper, handstands, flexibility): Kipper had a day of rest today - even dogs need a day of rest. She gets to go to the dog park tomorrow since it is my day of rest. I worked out plenty for both of us today ~ Legs/Back/ARX and then about 90 minutes of Zumba - extra long class to do some pre-burn of the calories. I didn't make it all the way through ARX today, I was feeling a bit tired, and that leg and back workout killed me today!! Handstands are getting better. Bonnie video taped me today and I was able to critique myself a bit, very helpful! I can't believe how much progress I have made in 4 days! Practice, practice, practice!!

Nutrition (Alcohol, Sweets):
Breakfast: Cherrios, banana, skim milk
Snack: Protein Bar, 1/2 recovery drink, apple
Lunch: Thanksgiving (do I really need to write it all out???) Did have a glass of wine and piece of apple pie. I was surprised at myself for the wine, I guess I really wanted it. I really didn't think I would have any alcohol at all this round. I don't imagine I'll have any more until late December.
Snack: pumpkin pie w/ whipped cream
Late Dinner: Crab legs, grilled veggies, wild rice and a taste of risotto.

Wake up: Woke up at 8:00. Didn't fall asleep very easy last night. Whenever Chris leaves it takes me a few days to get used to the fact that he is gone. So as soon as I start to fall asleep I wake back up wondering why he isn't in bed. I was SO tired today. I'll blame it on the turkey but the workouts and waking up early *might* have something to do with that as well. Took a nice long nap today after lunch and before work.

BB: Had someone else sign up on my page, but no other "progress" today.

Ducks: Day off! Did nothing. Found out that the guy who was going to take my dog might not take her after all... add that back to the list.

Accountability, Day 3

Wednesday 11-25

To keep this a bit shorter I am going to combine a few things.

Exercise now includes stretching/flexibility, handstand practice and if Kipper got exercise!
Nutrition now includes Shakeology, and if I had any sweets or alcohol.

Goal 1: Exercise: Nice 45 minute bike ride, about 10 miles total, the first 5 are at a nice uphill grade. Getting much better on my handstands! Will stretch tonight but may just do it at home, not the gym.
Also took Kipper for a 30 minute walk to and from the grocery store!

Goal 2: Nutrtition:
Breakfast: Cherrios (mix of honey nut and plain), skim milk, banana
Lunch: Island Pork Tenderloin salad and english muffin with a bit of margarine
Snack: Non fat vanilla yogurt and about 15 wheat thins
Early dinner: Turkey burger w/ almond "cheese", lettuce, tomato, ketchup and 1/2 a whole wheat bagel, had less than 1/2 of my recovery drink- didn't feel like I needed all of it.
Snack: apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon and dipped in almond butter
Work snack (I'm still hungry!!): Shakeology with soy milk and protein bar
No alcohol! Tried a sample of gingerbread house at the grocery store - not yummy. Looking forward to cheating tomorrow on my sweets :)
After work snack (I was hungry today): Tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and low fat string cheese.
And then my roommate brought home cookies from work. I caved and had two with a small class of skim milk. Got my body fat percentage back from Megan - 24%. I'm surprised, I started round one at about 22%, finished at 19%. I feel like I looked "fatter" at the start of my first round. It's amazing how our bodies can store fat so quickly!

Goal 3: Wake up: Alarm off at 7:45, out of bed shortly after 8am. I am LOVING getting up at 8. I think 7:30 would be pushing it. I feel like I have an extra hour each day, well I guess I do!

Goal 4: Beachbody: I need to really write down some goals to make this more focused. I think after the first of the month I will be better about it. I have a meeting on December 5th to attend and will be getting some new products in the mail which will motivate me again!

Goal 5: Ducks in a row: Worked most of the day cleaning out the spare room, getting ready to move back into my master. Getting the garage ready for a sale :) Feel like I made some good progress today with that. Checked out the new condo and realized it isn't at bad as I thought it was. Can do without new paint, carpets need to be cleaned and some other minor fixes, but really not bad at all.

Other: Met up with one of my couchsurfing hosts from Wellington, NZ today. He is in town visiting Vegas for a few days - nice to see him.

Accountability, Day 2

Goal 1: Exercise: Plyometrics today! Plyo is the one that can be hard to press play for me. I like to eat as soon as I get up but I can't eat before I do plyo. I eat and then wait for my food to digest but by the time it does it is past my "mental" work out time. (I like to work out first thing in the am). Anyway, long story short, I did it, even did the bonus exercises. Felt good! My chest is sore from yesterdays workout!

Goal 2: Nutrition:
Br: 5 egg white omelet with ham, swiss cheese, red peppers and a whole wheat english muffin with fruit spread, O.J.
Snack: Recovery drink after and during plyo
Lunch: Island Pork Tenderloin Salad, banana
Snack: small turkey burger (about 3-4oz), green peas (I had more hunger than shakeology would have fixed)
2nd snack: Shakeology made w/ 1/2 almond milk and half water since I had that small turkey burger
Dinner: Miso Glazed Salmon, rice, peppers, caesar salad - dressing comes on it at work :(

Goal 3: No sweets: I made sure not to go near the table that collects the sweets too early in my work day, that way by the time I got to it all the goodies were gone. I also passed on the cookies at dinner. Dana, my coworker, had one and said they were crunchy. I don't like crunchy cookies, I am SO glad I didn't waste a cheat on crunchy cookies :)

Goal 4: Flexibility/Handstands: I did the stretch after plyo, but no extra stretch- only M,W,F. I practiced my handstands at work :)

Goal 5: No Alcohol: Done

Goal 6: Dog90X: 10 min walk in the neighborhood

Goal 7: Wake up by 8:30: Up and out of bed at 8am

Goal 8: Shakeology: Had it as my second afternoon snack

Goal 9: Beachbody: I am so excited to learn of the Beachbody holiday specials! Free Shipping on P90X, Insanity and Slim in 6 deluxe programs. www.getfitwithmandy.com

Goal 10: Sell/Store items: Continued to go through pics to be scanned by scanmyphotos.com, I still have an extra box if someone is interested! $100 will hold almost 2000 pics that they scan and send back to you.

I did take my pics and measurements as well
Weight: 137
Waist (at belly button): 30
Hips/Booty (at largest area): 36
Chest: 35
Thighs: 20.5
Arms: 11

Accountability, Day 1

Just a quick update to fill you in on my progress on Day 1 of Round 2. My detailed goals are listed on my first post, I'll just keep them in categories

Goal 1: Exercise: Start P90X on November 23rd: Completed! Did Chest/Back and ARX today, followed by Zumba! Great news, Zumba isn't canceled on Thanksgiving, in fact we get an extra 15 minutes! I am SO excited. My numbers for Chest and Back didn't change too much from where I left off the end of September. I did lose some of my pull up numbers though, not to worry, I am sure those will come back quickly.

Goal 2: Nutrition: 4 3/4 stars (out of 5): I made a lot of food today so I shouldn't have cook for most of the rest of the week!
Breakfast: Mix of Honey Nut and Plain Cherrios, skim milk, banana
Snack: Recovery Drink and Protein Bar (had half after Chest and Back and the other half of each after Zumba
Lunch: Home-made 5oz turkey burger on a whole wheat english muffin: turkey, corn, salsa, bread crumbs, egg white, garlic, onions, worcestershire sauce, cumin, dijon mustard, pepper. Topped with almond chesse and ketchup
Snack: Shakeology with almond milk
Dinner: Island Pork Tenderloin Salad w/ Cumin vinaigrette. Pork flavored with cumin, chili powder, cinnamon, brown sugar, tabasco, garlic and olive oil.  Salad has oranges, peppers, tomatoes, raisins and kiwi. SO GOOD!! One of my favorites
Water: Drank close to 6 liters of water today

Other: I bypassed the free pumpkin pie at Fresh and Easy, but did have a sip of the free trial of eggnog. I am a bit hungry and will probably have an apple and low fat yogurt later on tonight.
No cookies, pies or candy (so far!)

Goal 3: No sweets/treats/candy/cookies/cakes/etc: I'm not going to be too hard on myself this month with the holidays. My only cheat today was the sip of egg nog. Proud to bypass the pumpkin pie!

Goal 4: Flexibility and Handstands: My bags are packed for the gym tonight. I threw in 3 suits and two towels. This way I can just keep the bag in the car and not have to worry about packing a bag except for once a week. I feel like I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh so need to be careful. Really looking forward to my time in the sauna and jacuzzi tonight. Practiced handstands with Bonnie after Zumba.

Goal 5: No alcohol: Easy. None

Goal 6: Kipper gets exercise: Went to the dog park for 30 minutes today. Nice to get to read a bit while she played

Goal 7: Up by 8:30. Text message woke me at 7:44, alarm off at 7:45. Started my day nice and early. Was asleep by 11:30 (thanks to an herbal sleeping pill, Midnight)

Goal 8: Shakeology: Afternoon snack, it helps with my sleepiness around mid afternoon.

Goal 9: Beachbody: Logged into the Monday Coaches call at 8am. Looking forward to some upcoming events.

Goal 10: Sell/Store items: Sold some items and received my photo boxes in the mail to get scanned. Yippee!!

I'd say that was a very productive day! I feel great and am looking forward to tomorrow.
Megan pinched my fat, will have numbers soon, will do before pics and measurements tomorrow.
Found out that the closing on my house might be delayed a bit :)
Chris made it back to NZ safe and sound.
I'll figure more about making this pretty later on :)

Goals and plans for the next 90 days

~I will start Round 2 of P90X on Monday, November 23rd

~I will focus WAY more on my nutrition plan than last time. This will be easier because so many of my "new" habits stuck. I do plan on using myfitnesspal.com to track my food on a daily basis and can set it up so it is visible to others and can share the link with you all, if you are interested. I will cook more, plan more and learn more about spices! I will plan, plan, plan and prepare ahead most of my food for the week. I will start out with a 40/40/20 ratio for carbs/protein/fats and then move into a 60/20/20 of carbs/protein/fats between day 45 and 60.

~Will start out immediately (minus Thanksgiving) with 2 days of Zumba while doing P90X (so basically "doubles" but not waiting until month 2 to add the cardio, and only committing to 2 days, not three right away)

~I am changing my routine around a bit to fit in with Zumba schedule. Here is what my week will look like for the first month:
Mon Day 1: Resistance, ARX and Zumba
Tues Day 2: Plyometrics
Wed Day 3: Cardio: probably wont do Kenpo so will go bike riding, take another class, pole dancing etc. It is my day off of work so it could be a long hike or something along those lines
Thurs Day 4: Resistance, ARX and Zumba
Fri Day 5: Rest/Stretch
Sat: Resistance and Core Plus subbed for ARX
Sun: Yoga (there is something I really like about Yoga on Sundays!)

~ I want to be WAY more flexible and am planning on heading to the sauna 2 extra days a week after work to stretch. So Mon, Wed and Fri after work will be stretching. Should be nice and bendy by Sundays for Yoga! May even try to throw in a Bikram class another day here and there. I'd like to be able to do the splits some day!

~ I want to learn how to do a handstands and will take Alvin Tam's handstand class one of these Saturdays and practice with Bonnie after Zumba :) I'd like to take cool pics of me doing handstands all over the world.

~ I am seriously considering taking pole classes again but think I should wait a and let my body adjust to doing P90X again. I also need to look at the schedule and be realistic about my time and when I would be able to go to class

~ I will not drink for this round of P90X (maybe a glass of wine for my birthday, we'll see). This will be easy as I didn't miss drinking my last round.

~ I *really* want to do a 30 day no sweets challenge (no cookies, candy, cake, etc.) I think that I need to be realistic about this and start it AFTER the holidays. So on December 30th, two days after my birthday, I can start that for a minimum of 30 days and continue to the end of P90X . I may adjust those details and allow myself 1 oz of dark chocolate if needed (no more than once a day). These are my weaknesses and I want more control over them. It isn't that I don't have the willpower to stop eating these things, I just don't think I WANT to stop eating them. I know getting back on the P90X training routine will help me cut down on the sweets but I also know that there will be a lot of temptation at work. I will keep my sweets and treats cut down, but know I can't cut them out completely, yet.

~ I will wake up earlier. I want to be up by 8:30 every morning (9 on Wed and Sun after 2 show days). This will mean being asleep shortly after I get home from work.

~ I will incorporate Shakeology into my nutrition plan as well. Thinking it will be my afternoon snack, it has a bit of gingko in it which will keep me going through my afternoon slump (normally happens around 3:30 or 4 ish.

~ Put focus BACK into my Beachbody business. I have not been pro-active in my business and need to work on building that better.

~ Take Kipper to the dog park (or other exercise) on a regular basis, 3-4 times a week. Last round she gained weight, this round she is on D90X with me!!!

~ Sell, store or give away my "things" that I wont be needing as my life is changing rapidly in front of my eyes!
